Scenario
Three members of an extended Afghan family start their lives over in Iran as refugees, unaware that they are about to embark on a decade-long struggle to be “home”… Told in three stories, "In the Land of Brothers" is able to capture the essence, complications, and heartbreaking scenarios of political conflict, relationships, culture, and the harshness of reality.
It really brought out the emotions between the characters and the core message and purpose of the film
The filmmakers were able to capture the themes, tone, and writing for each of the three stories with good emotions, interesting characters, and moments that felt tense and depressing without feeling rushed or overdone. Each of the characters and writing is handled with maturity, and all of the cast members’ performances are good.
The cinematography, production design, and soundtrack are beautiful
There were moments that were touching and I felt sad while watching it. Personally, for me, the first and third stories remain the most impactful.
Overall, the film strives as another good Iranian film
Although the second one has some pacing errors, it was still good.
