My dead friend Zoe is a dark comedy drama that follows the journey of merit (Sonequa Martin-Green), a veteran of Afghanistan of the American army who disagrees with his family thanks to the presence of Zoe (Natalie Morales ), his best dead friend of the army. Despite the persistence of his VA group advisor (Morgan Freeman), her mother’s difficult love (Gloria Reuben) and the lightness of an unexpected love interest, merit, comfortable friendship with Zoe keeps the insulated duo of the world of the world. It is until the grandfather far from merit (Ed Harris) – locked up to the ancestral family of the family – begins to lose their way and needs the only thing he refuses … helps. Basically, it is a friend of a friend on a complicated friendship, a divided family and the complex ways of which we treat sorrow.
