Four turbulent decades during the Northern Ireland Rebellion
The real-life Dolours Price was married for two decades (1983-2003) to Irish actor Stephen Ree. During this period, Ree appeared in the film for which he is perhaps best known in the United States: the 1992 romantic thriller The Crying Game. In this film, Ree plays Fergus, an extremely reluctant and controversial member of the Irish Republican Army (IRA) – the same organization with which Price was associated for many years.

A very well-produced series for the FX network in America and distributed internationally. It is emotional and tugs at the heartstrings. Which is a core value of great drama.
Women were always part of the IRA
Women have been part of freedom struggles for centuries. They fought and died in many battles directly or indirectly. This show shows how 2 young, strong, and intelligent women educated the IRA and changed it forever.
As seen in 90% of TV shows these days
While it is a true story, it has a modern agenda attached to it. The ugliness of all sides is shown and touched upon. There is something realistic and true about this show.
